Sometimes you need to be in the right place at the right time. But most of the time, to be in the right place at the right time one needs to spend hours, days, weeks, and even years to get there!

This happened to photographer Mark Cowan recently, who traveled to the Amazon to study reptile and amphibian diversity. While there, he managed to capture a ‘once in a lifetime’ photograph showing a caiman lounging about with a crown of beautiful butterflies perched upon his head.

What a stunning photo!
