Puppy Pirate accepts Mark Zuckerberg’s #ALSIceBucketChallenge

Puppy

It’s an internet viral sensation: pouring a freezing cold bucket of water on your head to raise funds and awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). Everyone’s doing it, from Bill Gates, to Justin Bieber, to Oprah Winfrey, to the local random guy down the end of your street.

However in the funniest #IceBucketChallenge we’ve seen to date, a random and clearly pampered pooch named Puppy Pirate has just been challenged by Facebook’s own Mark Zuckerberg. Pirate accepted, and completed the challenge in his own special way:

According to Pirate’s Facebook page:

“Yesterday, Facebook’s Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg challenged me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I accepted his challenge, however mum tells me that ice isn’t good for dogs, so I’m going to take a bath instead. Now I’m challenging Mishka, Boo and Zuck’s own puppy the Beast next. You pups have 24 hours to complete the challenge or you have to donate to the ALS foundation – or both. Finding ways to treat and cure ALS is an important cause. Totally random, but it’s all to raise awareness for a great cause. Start your week off with a smile!
