October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in most developed countries (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer). Survival rates continue to improve with 89 out of every 100 women diagnosed with invasive breast cancer now surviving five or more years beyond diagnosis.

To bring attention to this important cause, artist aleXsandro Palombo has reimagined Disney Princesses (and other female cartoons) as breast cancer survivors.
