They say you shouldn’t work with babies or animals.  Swedish photographer Geert Weggen has gone against this trend, however, as the subject for his latest series are some of the trickiest animals to capture: red squirrels.

Despite the difficulties, Weggen makes it look easy by offering the squirrels tiny props to play with including balloons, shopping carts, and even a makeshift bow and arrow.

The resulting pictures are both playful and charming as the squirrels showcase their curiosity and gregarious personalities.
