Intricate Glasswork by Janis Miltenberger is Inspired by Mythology

Glass artist Janis Miltenberger has worked in several mediums including ceramics and sculpture.

Her latest series, “Doctrine of Signatures,” is based on a 17th century book by Jakob Boehme called The Signature of All Things which detailed the commonly-held belief that the outward appearance of a plant reflected its medicinal value.

Whatever her inspiration, the end result is stunning. Do you like them?
