Photographer Helps Save the Lives of Pit Bull Dogs With Flower Crown Portraits

For a number of reasons, Pit Bulls have long been wrongly accused of being a violent and aggressive dog. As a result, pit bulls are one of the most neglected and abused dog breeds.

To try to overcome these stereotypes, photographer Sophie Gamand decided to create the photograph series called Pit Bull Flower Power.

Gamand searches dog shelters around the USA to find her doggy subjects.  She adorns the pups with crowns made of flowers and invites viewers to look at them in a new, softer light. She then shares her newly flowered pups on her Instagram and Facebook pages which helps find new owners and save their lives.
