Photographer Ray Collins Captures Wondrous Waves

Photographing something as vast and powerful as oceans must be an equally daunting and thrilling task, reliant not only on the conditions at sea, but on your ability to take a powerful photo while being at the mercy of the waves themselves.

Despite the inherent challenges, it’s something which Australian photographer Ray Collins manages with phenomenal results. His latest photo book demonstrates the truly unique nature of ocean photography, where waves can resemble anything from icy daggers in the dark water to shining sheets of endless turquoise.
