Last month a book of photographs taken of Frida Kahlo in the last years of her life was published by Harry N. Abrams. For two years, photographer Gisèle Freund was welcomed into the home of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera allowing her to intimately document their daily lives.
The images provide a glimpse into the personal practices of two of the most renowned painters in the medium’s history. With a mix of color and black and white photographs count, the true spirit and passion of the artistic couple are laid out across the pages. The book, titled “Frida Kahlo: The Gisèle Freund Photographs”, can be purchased on Amazon Here.
