Supervenus: a Graphic Animation That Explores Female Body Image Issues (NSFW)

05

“Supervenus”, by French artist Frédéric Doazan, is an animation that uses knives, botox needles and liposuction to completely makeover a woman’s body until it’s unrecognizable. It’s terrifying, to be honest, but is something that is becoming more and more common in our celebrity culture where beautiful bodies are turned into monsters in the quest for perfection.

Doazan screened this video as part of the 17th Brussels Short Film Festival, but this is the first time the entire video has become publicly available.

WARNING: although this is an animation, it is not safe for work.
