With the advent of the smartphone containing far more powerful cameras, the art of the selfie has flourished to almost annoying levels. People simply can't get enough of them, particularly among the younger generation who are heavier digital users compared to us old folk.

Bringing us much needed relief to the selfie culture is the photobomber, who craftily puts themselves into the view of a photograph, often in order to play a practical joke on the photographer or the subjects. As with everything, timing is critical, and the photobomber's success or failure often comes down to being in the right place at the right time.
