Artist Creates 20 Illustrations on 20 Different Drugs to See What Would Happen2

We’ve seen this concept a few times now (see HERE and HERE), but the results are nonetheless interesting.

On this occasion, graphic designer Brian Pollett the “Pixel-Pusha” dosed himself up on a new drug every day for twenty days and created a work of art. According to Brian, he “wanted to create opportunities to educate, whether related to psychedelics or art.”

The final works look extremely clean to us, but perhaps the artist fixed them up a bit in post production like we all tend to do.

Day 2 — G.H.B.

Day 3 — Codeine

Day 4 — T.H.C.

  1. inspired by? perhaps. mildly under the affect of a small amount? maybe. under the influence? no. and definitely not 20 days in a row. there would be such a deterioration of the functionality.

  2. I went through art school in the late sixties. I also taught art therapy to prisoners incarcerated for horrendous crimes while on LSD. The drugs puncture the sensitive barrier we have to keep off psychoses, we can only hope you DON’T promote this behaviour. I saw the extreme damage it does to the individual and what it does to their families after they went on a killing spree. Don’t be #%&$&* CHEAP to us! Peter Daniels International artist.
