Artist Creates A Painting Series of Melting Masterpieces

In a world where a lot of contemporary art is the same, multidisciplinary artist Alper Dostal has come up with something pretty different. While at the same time being the same!

Alper has developed series of excruciatingly realistic, 3D visualizations sees famous paintings—including Edvard Munch’s The Scream and Van Gogh’s Starry Night — turn into melting masterpieces.

Each work depicts a curator’s worst nightmare, where disastrous drips of thick paint trickles from the most famous paintings in the world onto the gallery floor. Dostal describes his work as “a little bit weird, humorous and with a drip of sarcasm, but often with a story behind.”

You can find more of Dostal’s incredible work on Instagram and buy prints from the Hot Exhibition series on his website.
