Artist Reinterprets Superheroes as 16th Century Romantic Paintings

Ever wondered what Superman or the Joker might look like in the xx century? Sacha Goldberger  did, so embarked on a two year project called Super Flemish.

Several actors were asked to endure hours upon hours of costume fitting, makeup and photography to get each shot ‘just right’. Sacha and her team then spent many hours in the editing studio in order to get the final works: “Lots of the job was done before and during the shoot,” says Goldberer. “Pierrick and Sebastian, my digital retouchers, helped me to get the precision and the perfection I was looking for in this series.”

We think the effort was definitely worth it. Who are your favorites? Upvote and comment on them!
