Bringing Mozart to the Kids… Spectacular Costumes and Props in the Magic Flute

Costume and effects guru Julie Taymor has outdone herself with Opera Australia’s latest production… Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. With a particular focus of entertaining the kids as well as their parents, Taymor (who was previously the director of the Lion King on Broadway), brings together a nine-metre serpent, towering polar bears and hundreds of paintstakingly hand-crafted props to bring Mozart’s fairytale opera to life.

The production runs through to 26 March 2013 at the Sydney Opera House, so if you’re looking for somewhere to entertain the kids and your own inner child, this could be the show for you. More information can be found HERE.
