Man Spends More Than 3000 Hours Colorizing Old Black & White Photos Of Famous People

Mario Unger is a photographer and digital artist from Austria. Last year his main work was restoring and colorizing old photographs.

Mario told us that is reason for doing all of this work was to bring the past back to the present. He loves B&W photography, but for some images he thought that color was needed to enhance the image and “bring it back to life”.  Each image takes in excess of 3000 hours to colorize. Quite an undertaking!
