Sufferer Just Explained Why Depression Makes People So Tired, And More People Need To See It


One of our artist friends recently went to the doctor at the urging of his family to ascertain why they felt tired all the time. As it turns out, this person was suffering from depression and this was a significant contributor to their tiredness.

We were curious as to why this was the case and wanted to learn more about the warning signs, so reached out to 22-year-old visual artist and mental health advocate Pauline Palita. She revealed a reliable method of how to spot people who struggle with mental health.

According to National Alliance on Mental Illness, approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness in a given year. Moreover, mood disorders, including major depression, dysthymic disorder and bipolar disorder, are the third most common cause of hospitalization in the U.S. for citizens aged 18–44.
