Textile Artist Creates Realistic Tree Stumps from Discarded Clothing

Do you have a bunch of old clothes sitting in your closet that you haven't worn for ages? Why not turn them into realistic tree stumps!

That's what textile artist Tamara Kostianovsky did in her latest seriest which creates realistic elements from nature out of strips of fabric and discarded clothing. Tamara forms severed tree stumps using pieces of her late father’s clothing, integrating his belongings into a landscape of layered, multi-colored logs. The works address the passing of time and allude to the body returning to the environment after death.

We think they're amazing. What about you?
